The Day in the Life of a College Student

Its Saturday. I day for fun, right? Wrong. I have three papers and various other homework due next week that I get to spend a lovely day indoors for. How do I have time to blog, you ask? Easy, this is my break between papers one and two. So I'm sorry it won't be a long entry but I have little choice but to get back to the grindstone. Why do people say that anyway? "Put your nose to the grindstone" when they mean to get to work? It sounds like a painful process, one that I don't relish trying anytime soon. But I guess it works in this case because homework can be painful, especially when its a beautiful day outside and I'm stuck indoors.
In all actuality, if I didn't have homework to be doing, I would probably be curled up on the couch reading, which still wouldn't get me outside, but there's just something about a good book that makes me not mind being indoors.

Maybe I should explain the links off to the side. FanFiction.net is a wonderful site for those aspiring writers. For most TV shows, movies, or books a page can be found where fans have taken the characters and placed them in situations and relationships as they wish. I used to write on here when I had the time, but I haven't been able to post recently. My sudoname is ShakespeareLover01 if you care to see what I wrote.
eHarliquin.com is another fun site for people who enjoy reading romance novels. The site has a section where you can read special online stories written by your favorite authors. I especially love historical romances.
I guess my little break is over for now. Bye guys.

WOW! I hope you are finishing up your papers... One of us will be graduating early and it aint going to be me. I was glad to be able to get you out of the house saturday night. It was a great break for the writing process. Well the blog is off to a great start and I'll be checking for updates. I am looking forward to seeing you tommorrow. :)

P.S. You should call the poodle Panchita... Since I gave it to you at Panchos and since Pancho is a man's name... then the 'ita' suffix will make it a female poodle name. :)

I too can relate to the "struggling student" sydrome. Often times college students become overwhelmed with their class workload demands. Unfortunately, functioning in overdrive is the lot that most students are living. The good news is - we survive and strive despite the experience.

My unsolicited advice is take time to enjoy life. Go outside and enjoy the sunshine. Read a good book. Better yet, read a good book outside in the sunshine. I guarantee you that five years from now you will not reminisce about the time that was spent in front of the computer putting "your nose to the grindstone" but rather, you will cherish the time you spent enjoying life.
